These Terms & Policies explain how Piano Practice Coach provides online coaching and how our subscription plans work. We aim to keep everything clear, fair, and consistent so families know exactly what to expect.

1. Coaching Overview

Piano Practice Coach provides online coaching sessions designed to help students develop strong practice habits, improve technique, and build musical confidence. We work with a team of trained coaches, each committed to a supportive and structured learning environment.

2. Coaching Plans & Billing

Coaching plans are billed monthly, based on the number of weekly sessions included in your plan (1×, 2×, 3×, or 4× sessions per week). Billing renews automatically each month unless changed or discontinued.

Trial Session

Your child’s first coaching session is complimentary when you begin a weekly coaching plan. If you choose not to continue after the trial, the single-session rate of $20 applies.

Billing Dates

Your billing date is the day you begin your subscription. The same date is used for each monthly renewal. Payments are processed through Stripe.

Changing or Discontinuing Your Plan

You may pause, change, or discontinue your plan at the end of any billing period. To make changes, email us at info@pianopracticecoach.ca or submit a request through your dashboard.

3. Attendance Policy

Missed Sessions (Student-Initiated)

We understand that families may need to miss sessions from time to time due to travel, illness, or school events. If you miss individual sessions within a month, your monthly rate remains the same. Coaching is based on a subscription model, not per-session billing.

Missing an Entire Week

If your family needs to miss a full week of coaching, your subscription continues as usual. This structure ensures consistency and allows coaches to maintain stable schedules for all students.

4. Coach Absences & Substitutions

If your regular coach is unavailable, we will arrange a substitute coach whenever possible to keep your child on track.

If no substitute is available, you will not be charged for the missed session(s). If you were already billed, a prorated refund or credit will be applied to your account.

5. Session Format & Duration

Standard coaching sessions are 30 minutes. Families who require a different session length (such as 45 minutes) or a customized weekly schedule may contact us to request accommodations. We do our best to be flexible.

6. Communication Policy

Parents may communicate with their coach by email or through the messaging features provided. Coaches may also send weekly notes or recommendations to support ongoing practice.

7. Refund Policy

Refunds are issued only under the following circumstances:

• A coach cancels a session and no substitute is available
• A billing error or duplicate charge occurs
• A family discontinues at the start of a new billing cycle

Missed sessions initiated by the student are not refundable.

8. Technology Requirements

Piano Practice Coach sessions require a stable internet connection, a device with video/audio capability, and a safe, comfortable area where the piano or keyboard is accessible.

9. Privacy & Data Protection

Piano Practice Coach does not share or sell personal information. All payment information is processed securely through Stripe. We store only the data necessary to provide coaching services.

10. Appropriate Use

Parents are responsible for ensuring that the student attends sessions on time and behaves respectfully. Piano Practice Coach reserves the right to discontinue coaching if inappropriate behavior occurs.

11. Safety & Liability

By participating in online coaching, you acknowledge that Piano Practice Coach is not responsible for injuries, accidents, or equipment issues occurring in the student’s home environment. Parents are responsible for creating a safe, supervised practice space.

12. Changes to Policies

Piano Practice Coach may update these Terms & Policies from time to time. Any significant changes will be communicated to active families.
